Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer – SPM / Automation to design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation systems, fixtures, jigs and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Design machine assemblies, structures, mechanisms and components.
- Select suitable bearings, linear guides, ball screws, couplings, motors, cylinders, gears and other mechanical components.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and component specifications.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Electrical and Assembly teams.
- Modify designs based on manufacturing and customer requirements.
- Review drawings for dimensions, tolerances and manufacturability.
- Support machine assembly, testing and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve mechanical design issues during assembly and testing.




- Coordinate with vendors for fabrication and machined components.
- Prepare design documentation and maintain drawing revisions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Design.
- Experience in SPM / Automation / Industrial Machinery.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D detailing.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and fits.
- Knowledge of mechanical components and material selection.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Positive problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good coordination with production and vendors.

Qualification

Preferred:

- B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma – Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5+ years in Mechanical Design / SPM / Automation / Machine Design.
