Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and/or Creo to develop 2D drawings and 3D models for customized furniture products. The candidate should have a valuable understanding of furniture design, engineering drawings, material specifications, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to convert concepts and customer requirements into accurate technical drawings and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 2D engineering drawings and 3D models of customized furniture products.
- Prepare detailed drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and exploded views using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Develop furniture designs based on customer requirements, project specifications, and design concepts.
- Prepare technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and hardware details.
- Design furniture components such as workstations, office tables, storage units, cabinets, partitions, and modular furniture.
- Coordinate with the Production, Purchase, Projects, and Quality teams to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing.
- Revise drawings based on design changes, customer feedback, and production requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), cutting details, and component specifications as required.
- Ensure design accuracy,



material optimization, and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Support prototype development, design validation, and resolution of production-related design issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings and design files.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Design Engineer.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Creo Parametric.
- Strong knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and assembly details.
- Knowledge of customized furniture design, modular furniture, or interior fit-out products is preferred.
- Understanding of furniture materials such as plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, metal sections, and hardware fittings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, and production drawings.
- Basic understanding of BOM preparation and material specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and coordination abilities.

- Timely completion of design assignments.
- Reduction in drawing errors and production rework.
- Compliance with customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Effective coordination with production and project teams.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
