Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and CPC Certified Team Leader to lead a team of medical coders specializing in Outpatient (OP), Evaluation & Management (E&M;), and Surgery coding. The incumbent will be responsible for driving coding quality, productivity, compliance, client satisfaction, operational excellence, and team development while ensuring adherence to industry and client-specific coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of medical coders handling OP, E&M;, and Surgical coding specialties.
- Monitor and achieve productivity, quality, utilization, and TAT targets.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific coding guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits, quality reviews, and provide constructive feedback to improve coding accuracy.
- Handle client escalations and support operational reviews.
- Drive process improvements and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct team performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training programs.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, compliance standards, and client SLAs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Strong expertise in Outpatient (OP), E&M;,



and Surgery Coding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Qualification & Certification

- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, or any healthcare-related discipline.
- Mandatory: Active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification from AAPC.
- Additional certifications such as COC, CIC, CCS, or CCS-P will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 7-10 years of Medical Coding experience with expertise in OP, E&M;, and Surgery specialties.
- Proven track record of managing coding quality, productivity, and client SLAs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Active CPC Certified Professional.
- Strong experience in handling Medical Coding teams.
- Expertise in OP, E&M;, and Surgery coding specialties.
- Ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
