About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to lead large-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project delivery expertise with deep understanding of modern data engineering practices, cloud-native data platforms, and enterprise data modernization programs.

What You'll Do:

- Lead offshore engineering teams in the successful implementation of enterprise GCP data platform initiatives.
- Drive project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication activities.
- Collaborate with data architects to implement target-state GCP data architecture.
- Oversee implementation of Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Ensure successful delivery of scalable ingestion, transformation, and semantic layer solutions using GCP-native services.




- Manage development of reusable data pipelines, frameworks, and accelerators.
- Coordinate implementation of data governance, lineage, metadata management, data quality, and security controls.
- Support migration and consolidation of distributed BigQuery environments.
- Drive integration of data from SAP, CRM systems, APIs, flat files, and third-party enterprise applications.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones.
- Lead sprint planning, estimation, release planning, development reviews, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and leadership teams.
- Leverage iAURA accelerators for data modeling, migration, reconciliation, observability, and data quality initiatives.
- Ensure adoption of engineering best practices, DataOps standards, and CI/CD processes.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Prepare project status reports, executive dashboards, steering committee updates, and delivery roadmaps.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Project Management, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or Data Modernization programs.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale data engineering and cloud transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and data services.
- Hands-on knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, and Lakehouse platforms.
- Experience implementing Medallion Architecture including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Solid understanding of Python and SQL for data engineering and analytics projects.
- Experience managing BigQuery migration, modernization, and consolidation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, and security frameworks.
- Experience integrating SAP, CRM systems, APIs, flat files, and third-party data sources.




- Expertise in Agile project delivery methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, DataOps frameworks, and DevOps practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to manage distributed and offshore engineering teams effectively.
- Experience in effort estimation, project planning, resource allocation, and delivery governance.
- Strong risk management, issue resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns and data modernization strategies.
- GCP Skilled Data Engineer Certification is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to mentor teams and drive engineering excellence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
