About the role

We’re a family household in Gurugram looking for an experienced House Manager to run the home day to day.

The goal is simple: a house that runs smoothly and consistently without needing constant direction from the family. You’ll own the systems, the staff and the schedule.

What you’ll be responsible for

Staff training and management

- Train and supervise domestic staff on service standards, grooming and etiquette
- Set guest-service protocols, such as how guests are greeted, what refreshments are offered, and which crockery and glassware are used for which occasion
- Create and maintain task lists, checklists and routines, and make sure they’re followed
- Manage staff schedules, leave and salary records

Household operations

- Order groceries and pantry supplies, and track household inventory
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance (e.g. plumbers, electricians, carpenters, AC servicing) from scheduling through follow-up
- Manage vehicle servicing, insurance renewals, AMCs and other recurring deadlines
- Pay utility and household bills and track monthly spend

Dietary and meal management

- Plan meals around each family member’s dietary needs and preferences
- Brief the kitchen staff and make sure meals are consistent

Wardrobe management

- Organise wardrobes and handle seasonal rotation and storage
- Coordinate laundry, dry cleaning, alterations and repairs

Pets





- Manage care for the family’s dogs, including food, medicines, vet appointments, grooming and walks

Administration

- Keep household records, a calendar of recurring tasks and a list of vendor contacts
- Run errands and handle documents as needed
- Send the family a short weekly update on the household

What we’re looking for

- 3+ years managing a private household, or a supervisory role in hospitality (hotel housekeeping, F&B; or guest relations)
- Must be comfortable with dogs.
- Organised and proactive. You notice what needs doing before you’re asked.
- Confident leading and training staff with firmness and respect
- Discreet and trustworthy
- Valuable spoken and written English and Hindi
- Comfortable with WhatsApp, Google Sheets and online ordering apps

Nice to have

- Hotel management or hospitality training
- Experience with special diets or meal planning
- Able to commute easily to Gurugram

Schedule: 6 days a week, 9 am–6pm. Overtime will be required at times, such as when guests visit, during events, or when household needs call for it.
