We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage procurement vendor development negotiation and purchase order management for Ayurvedic herbal wellness and personal care products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete purchase and procurement activities
- Develop and maintain vendors for raw materials and packaging materials
- Source Ayurvedic herbal raw materials from reliable suppliers
- Handle purchase of bottles containers labels cartons boxes and other packaging materials
- Identify new vendors and build long term vendor relationships
- Compare quotations and negotiate prices payment terms quality and delivery timelines
- Prepare and manage purchase orders
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery
- Coordinate with production stores quality accounts and other departments
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements
- Monitor pending purchase orders and material requirements
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality price delivery and service
- Resolve vendor related issues and maintain robust supplier relationships
- Maintain purchase records quotations purchase orders and vendor documents
- Work on cost reduction and better procurement opportunities
Candidate Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in purchase and procurement
- Experience in Ayurvedic herbal FMCG cosmetics pharmaceutical or wellness manufacturing will be preferred
- Good knowledge of raw material and packaging material procurement
- Strong vendor development and vendor management skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of purchase order management
- Experience in quotation comparison and price negotiation
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong follow up and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and purchase requirements
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
