Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture (Master’s in Construction Management or Port & Harbor Engineering is often preferred

- A marine planning engineer creates and manages project schedules, resource plans, and progress tracking for marine, port, and offshore infrastructure projects.
- A Marine Estimation Engineer calculates project costs, prepares bids, and analyzes tenders for ship repair, marine construction, or offshore systems.

Cost Calculation & BOQ: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Material Take-Offs (MTO), and cost breakdowns for hull repairs, outfitting, propulsion, or marine electrical systems.

Tender & Bid Preparation: Analyze tender packages, scope of work, and contract terms to submit accurate pre-bid and post-bid proposals within tight deadlines.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, production, procurement, and project management teams to verify resource, labor, and timeline assumptions..
