About Us
Shree Arts is an established ethnic fashion brand with over 30 years in the industry. As we expand our digital presence through Shree Arts and Suit Room by Shree Arts, we're looking for a talented, creative and visually driven Videographer & Video Editor to join our in-house content team.
We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to operate a camera and edit videos. We're looking for a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of fashion, aesthetics and what makes content stand out.
Someone who can take an idea from concept to execution, experiment with different visual styles and consistently create content that looks beautiful, feels premium and performs well on social media.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Videography & Content Production
- Shoot high-quality Instagram Reels, fashion videos, campaign content and other social media creatives.
- Create engaging lay-flat videos showcasing unstitched suits, fabrics, embroidery and intricate garment details for Suit Room by Shree Arts.
- Plan and execute model-based fashion shoots, editorial-style reels and collection launches for the main Shree Arts page.
- Capture high-quality product photography for our e-commerce website, catalogues and marketing materials.
- Understand camera angles, composition, framing, lighting and movement to showcase garments at their best.
2. Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit engaging, visually appealing short-form content, primarily for Instagram Reels.
- Handle professional colour correction and colour grading while maintaining accurate fabric and garment colours.
- Work with transitions, pacing, sound design, music and visual storytelling.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity across our different social media pages.
- Adapt content for different formats, campaigns and platforms.
3. Creative Direction & Content Strategy
- Actively brainstorm fresh reel concepts, creative campaigns and content ideas.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, social media trends, editorial photography and evolving visual styles.
- Understand what makes a reel successful, including hooks, storytelling, retention and audience engagement.
- Take ownership of creative execution rather than simply following instructions.
- Experiment with new formats and approaches based on content performance.
4. Shoot Direction, Styling & Set Design
- Confidently direct models and on-camera presenters, including posing, expressions, movements and overall presentation.
- Plan aesthetically pleasing backgrounds, lighting setups and shot compositions.
- Experiment creatively with props, textures, backdrops and set arrangements.
- Create multiple visual looks and moods within the same shooting space.
- Think resourcefully and deliver premium-looking results without requiring expensive equipment, elaborate sets or large production budgets.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in videography, photography and video editing.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques, composition, camera settings and colour grading.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent tools.
- A refined aesthetic sense with a genuine appreciation for fashion, editorial imagery and visual storytelling.
- Ability to independently conceptualise, plan, shoot and edit content.
- Confidence in directing people during shoots.
- Understanding of Instagram Reels, short-form video trends and social media content performance.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when capturing fabrics, colours, textures and intricate embroidery.
- Resourcefulness, adaptability and the ability to achieve great results with limited resources.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shoots and editing deadlines.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Previous experience working with fashion brands, designers, boutiques or fashion e-commerce businesses.
- Experience shooting ethnic wear, jewellery, textiles or other detail-intensive products.
- A strong portfolio of editorial fashion photography or cinematography.
- Experience with creative set design, styling or art direction.
- Experience developing social media content that has generated strong organic reach or engagement.
Who We're Looking For
Someone who:
- Has a strong creative instinct and doesn't need to be told exactly what to shoot every time.
- Can make an ordinary space look extraordinary through clever lighting, composition and styling.
- Knows the difference between simply recording a garment and presenting it in a way that makes people want it.
- Is equally comfortable shooting detailed product close-ups and directing a model for an editorial-style fashion reel.
- Understands that beautiful content is important, but beautiful content that actually performs is even better.
- Takes initiative, experiments with ideas and genuinely enjoys the creative process.
The Mindset We're Looking For
We're building something ambitious,
and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
This isn't a conventional 9-to-5 role, and we're not looking for someone who simply wants to clock in, complete assigned tasks and clock out.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, embraces the hustle and takes genuine ownership of their work.
Someone who:
- Is ambitious, self-driven and hungry to learn, improve and grow professionally.
- Understands startup culture and is comfortable wearing multiple hats, taking initiative and figuring things out independently.
- Isn't afraid of hard work, challenging deadlines or occasionally putting in longer hours when a project demands it.
- Is passionate enough about their craft to go the extra mile and take pride in what they create.
- Wants to contribute ideas, challenge conventional approaches and play a meaningful role in building a brand.
- Is looking for a long-term opportunity rather than a temporary position or stepping stone.
Let's be upfront: this role can be demanding. There will be busy days, long shoots, tight deadlines and times when we need to go above and beyond. We value that commitment and are prepared to compensate fairly for the additional time, effort and responsibility involved.
In return, we're offering creative ownership, opportunities for professional growth and the chance to play a significant role in shaping the future of our brand.
Please note: This is a full time, on-site position intended for experienced professionals. We are not considering interns, students or applicants seeking temporary employment.
We're not just hiring for a position. We're looking for someone who wants to build something with us for the long run.
What We Offer
- An opportunity to shape the visual identity of an established fashion brand as it expands digitally.
- Creative freedom to experiment with concepts, styling and visual storytelling.
- Exposure to product photography, fashion campaigns, model shoots and social media production.
- A dedicated environment for content creation and production.
- Competitive compensation based on skills, experience and portfolio.
How to Apply
Please share your CV, portfolio/showreel and examples of content you have personally shot and edited.
We're particularly interested in seeing fashion-related projects, creative reels, editorial shoots and content that demonstrates your understanding of aesthetics, lighting and visual storytelling.
Applications without a portfolio may not be considered.
