MEP Engineering Lead

Join a Team Engineering the Future of Construction: Modular Building Technology (MBT)
Location: Modulus Housing, Chettipedu, Chennai-602105
About Us We are transforming construction through revolutionary Modular Building Technology (MBT). Inspired by empowering individuals through personal, high-quality building, our mission is to create spaces that are intuitive, resilient, and rapidly deployed. We operate with an Intense and Scrappy ethos, pursuing Scale in everything we do, guided by our MBT Focus to Make Something People Love. This is where Factory-born precision meets the seamless assembly of a LEGO® system.
The Opportunity: Engineering Modular Excellence
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior MEP Design Engineer to spearhead the design, standardization, and integration of Electrical and HVAC systems into our modular blocks. You will be crucial in ensuring our systems are factory-accurate, easily connected on-site, cost-effective, and fully aligned with our core principle of Intuitive Assembly.
Key Responsibilities1. Design,

Engineering & Standardisation
• Modular System Design (Electrical): Lead the design and development of standardised, scalable, and pre-wired modular electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution (LV panels, circuits), fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems, ensuring Poka-Yoke (mistake-proofing) principles for on-site connections.
• Modular System Design (HVAC): Design high-efficiency, compact, and standardized HVAC solutions (e.g., decentralized split/VRF systems, ventilation) suitable for modular integration, focusing on energy performance and seamless mechanical connection points between modules.
• Engineering Calculations: Execute and validate detailed engineering calculations, including:
• Electrical: Load schedules, short-circuit calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, lighting lux levels, and earthing/lightning protection.
• HVAC: Heat load calculations (ASHRAE/IS sta
