An established Australian accounting practice is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team remotely from India.

The ideal candidate must have practical Australian accounting experience and be capable of handling bookkeeping and accounting tasks accurately under the supervision of our Australian team.

Key Responsibilities

- Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations.
- Xero and QuickBooks Online bookkeeping.
- GST coding and BAS/IAS preparation support.
- Australian payroll, STP and superannuation.
- Accounts payable and receivable.
- Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and financial reporting.
- Year-end accounts and tax return workpapers.
- Tracking BAS, tax and ASIC deadlines.
- Maintaining client records and daily work updates.

Requirements

- 1–2 years of Australian accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Practical knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks Online.
- Understanding of Australian GST, BAS and payroll.
- Good Excel and English communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable internet connection and secure home workspace.
