Freelance Social Media & Content Manager — KIN & KILN

Compensation: 10,000–12,000 per month

KIN & KILN is a small, distinctive vegetarian bistro in Mumbai with a strong visual identity — Gothic interiors, theatrical experiences, seasonal events and a food-first concept.

We're looking for a responsible, creative and proactive freelance Social Media Manager to take ownership of our Instagram and help build the brand online.

This is not a role for someone who simply schedules posts.

We want someone who understands content, has good taste, notices details and takes initiative.

What you'll be responsible for

- Managing our Instagram account on a day-to-day basis

- Planning a monthly content calendar

- Creating and posting Reels, Stories and static posts

- Shooting content at the bistro when required

- Editing short-form videos/Reels

- Writing captions and developing strong hooks

- Creating Stories around food, the space, events and behind-the-scenes moments

- Promoting special events, seasonal campaigns and offers

- Keeping up with relevant Instagram trends without making the brand look generic

- Responding to comments/DMs and helping maintain the brand's online presence

- Tracking basic insights and understanding what content is actually working

- Bringing new ideas proactively, rather than waiting for instructions

What we're looking for

Must have:

- Strong Instagram/Reels understanding

- Good visual sense and attention to detail

- Ability to shoot decent phone content

- Basic video editing skills

- Good English writing/copywriting





- Reliable and responsive communication

- Someone who can work independently

- Someone who understands that a small brand needs ownership, not just task completion

Big plus:

- Experience with restaurants, cafés, hospitality, lifestyle or fashion brands

- Experience with CapCut/VN/Premiere Pro or similar

- Understanding of Mumbai's food/lifestyle audience

- Comfortable coming to the bistro occasionally to shoot content
