About the Role
Skillthread Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a U.S. financial services client project.
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering skilled with strong experience in functional, backend, integration, and ETL testing across enterprise financial systems. The role combines financial domain expertise, automation engineering, and practical use of Microsoft technologies and AI-assisted testing.

Key Responsibilities
• Define test approaches, assess change impact, and design comprehensive scenarios from requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across financial applications and third-party platforms.
• Validate financial workflows covering transaction processing, trade lifecycle, settlements, payments,



treasury operations, accounting interfaces, and reconciliation, as applicable.
• Test APIs, file interfaces, batch jobs, and asynchronous processing, including exception handling, retries, duplicate prevention, and recovery.
• Perform ETL testing covering source-to-target mappings, transformations, full and incremental loads, data quality, and migration validation.
• Use advanced SQL to reconcile source and target data, financial reports, and downstream outputs.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation across UI, API, backend, and data layers using Playwright, Python, and appropriate testing frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Investigate defects across applications, databases, and integrations; communicate business impact and support resolution.
