Role Description This is a full time, on-site Freelance Writer role based in the Pune District. The Freelance Writer will develop clear, engaging written content for educational materials, digital platforms, and promotional communications aligned with MK:U’s focus on technology, sustainability, and STEM. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching topics related to digital skills and sustainable technologies, drafting and revising articles, blogs, course descriptions, and marketing copy, and collaborating with educators and project teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging. The role also involves adapting content for different audiences, following style guidelines, and meeting agreed timelines and project milestones. The writer will participate in content planning discussions and provide creative input on how best to communicate complex ideas in accessible and inclusive language.
Qualifications
• Strong writing and editing abilities, including experience creating clear, concise, and engaging content for digital and print formats.
• Research skills to gather,



evaluate, and synthesize information on technology, education, sustainability, and STEM-related topics.
• Ability to tailor tone and style to different audiences, including students, educators, and industry partners.
• Familiarity with educational or academic content development, curriculum support materials, or learning resources is beneficial.
• Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong command of written English, with attention to detail, grammar, and inclusive language practices.
• Background in communications, journalism, English, education, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• Interest in digital skills, sustainable technologies, and widening participation in STEM, with willingness to learn and stay current on emerging trends.
