CSSD In Charge Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage the daily operations of the CSSD. Ensure proper cleaning, packing, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices and sterilization protocols. Monitor the functioning, maintenance, and validation of sterilization equipment, including autoclaves. Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies. Maintain accurate documentation, sterilization records, and equipment logs. Coordinate with Operation Theatre, Nursing, and other clinical departments to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies. Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions where required. Train, mentor, and supervise CSSD staff to ensure high standards of performance. Monitor inventory levels of consumables and coordinate procurement requirements.



Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities. Qualifications Diploma in CSSD / Operation Theatre Technology or B.Sc. Nursing. Minimum 5 years of experience in CSSD, preferably in a NABH-accredited hospital. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices. Thorough understanding of NABH standards and quality protocols. Leadership and team management skills. Experience in documentation, audits, and compliance management. Excellent organizational and coordination abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Valuable communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
