Role & responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends, pricing patterns, and supply risks to ensure competitive advantage.
- Drive long-term sourcing plans to reduce cost, improve quality, and ensure continuity of supply.

Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers for various categories.
- Conduct periodic supplier audits, performance reviews, and capability assessments.
- Strengthen relationships with key suppliers to enhance reliability and innovation.

Contracting & Negotiations

- Lead commercial negotiations to finalize pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service levels.
- Prepare, review, and execute contracts ensuring legal and commercial compliance.
- Manage contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and revisions.

Operational Procurement

- Oversee purchase order processing, approvals, and documentation accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Production, Quality, Finance, Projects, etc.) to understand material requirements.




- Ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts or production delays.

Cost Optimization & Budgeting

- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, alternative materials, vendor consolidation, and improved processes.
- Monitor procurement spend and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Generate periodic MIS and procurement dashboards for management review.
- Compliance & Governance

- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Promote ethical procurement practices, transparency, and process integrity.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through systematic controls and contingency planning.
- Team Leadership (Manager Level)

- Lead, train, and mentor procurement team members.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor KPIs, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a cooperative and performance-driven work culture.
