Job Description Sr. Executive Procurement

Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Location: Mumbai Corporate Office. Malad West.
Experience: 35 Years
Industry: Pigment / Paint / Chemical Industry
Reporting To: Director SCM and Executive Director
Compensation: As per company norms and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

1. Educational Qualification

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
- Candidates with relevant procurement experience in the pigment or chemical industry will be preferred.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Handle procurement of raw materials, chemicals, packing materials, and other assigned items. Domestic and Imports.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Obtain quotations, compare offers, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Finance, and other departments to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending supplies.
- Evaluate vendor performance in terms of quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Maintain purchase records, documentation, and MIS reports.
- Explore opportunities for cost reduction and procurement process improvement.




- Use AI tools and digital applications for market research, data analysis, reporting, and improving procurement efficiency.
- Perform other procurement-related activities as assigned by the management.
- Vendor Audits.
- Extensive travelling for procurement in domestic & international.

3. Required Skills

- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Good vendor management and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, email, and other computer applications.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools and their practical applications in procurement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- EXIM proficiency.

4. Desired Candidate Profile

- 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement experience in the pigment, paint, or chemical industry.
- Good understanding of chemical raw materials, market trends, and supplier networks.
- A proactive, result-oriented, and commercially aware professional.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with senior management.

Objective of the Role: To ensure timely and cost-effective procurement through effective vendor management, commercial negotiations, market intelligence, and efficient use of technology.
