Key Responsibilities

- Utilize advanced skip tracing tools and databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Accurint, credit bureau data) to locate individuals with outstanding debt.
- Conduct in-depth research using internet searches, public records, and social media to gather leads.
- Handle outbound and inbound calls with third parties (customers, relatives, employers) and other relevant contacts while adhering to FDCPA and compliance requirements.
- Handle voice interactions to gather, verify, and document information that supports debt recovery efforts.
- Analyse and verify collected data before passing to the collections or asset recovery team.
- Maintain organized records of skip tracing activities, findings, and outcomes within the collections system.
- Develop strategies to approach hard-to-find accounts and assets.
- Collaborate with collections, legal, and other departments to support debt recovery efforts.
- Prepare timely reports on skip tracing outcomes and pending case statuses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Investigative and analytical skills: Ability to conduct extensive research, analyse information critically, and uncover relevant details from minimal data.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with skip tracing software, online databases, and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.




- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct effective interviews and document findings clearly.
- Voice and communication skills: Strong voice-based communication skills, excellent spoken English, ability to understand and communicate effectively with individuals having various U.S. accents, and confidence in managing high-volume outbound and inbound voice conversations with customers and third parties.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping; small details can be crucial to successful tracing.
- Persistence and problem-solving: A proactive and determined approach to locating individuals who may be intentionally avoiding contact.
- US market knowledge: Solid understanding of the US collections process and legal landscape, including data privacy regulations.
- Experience: Prior experience in skip tracing, collections, or a related investigative role is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using tools such as CLEAR, TLOxp, or Accurint
- Certification in debt collection (e.g., ACAs Skilled Debt Collector certification)
- Bachelors degree in Business / Non-Technical, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred
