Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design Special Purpose Machines (SPM), mechanical assemblies, fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
- Apply GD&T; principles, including datum selection, geometric tolerances, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Select suitable materials and standard mechanical components, including bearings, motors, gearboxes, and pneumatic components.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Coordinate with production, manufacturing, and assembly teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements and engineering feedback.
- Ensure designs are cost-effective and suitable for manufacturing and assembly.




- Maintain engineering drawings, design documentation, and revision records.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling, part design, assembly, and 2D drafting.
- Practical knowledge of Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design and mechanical mechanisms.
- Solid understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of fits, clearances, tolerances, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Knowledge of standard mechanical components and material selection.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare engineering drawings.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
