We are seeking a Technical Operations Analyst to join our Technology Operations team. This is a hybrid role that combines elements of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud operations, observability, and automation, while remaining focused on operational excellence and application support.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience monitoring production environments, troubleshooting issues using observability tools, automating operational tasks through scripting, and collaborating across engineering teams to improve system reliability. While the role includes occasional SRE-related activities such as creating monitoring dashboards and driving operational improvements, it is not a dedicated SRE position.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a modern cloud-based environment and contribute to the stability, scalability, and efficiency of business-critical applications and services.
Role & responsibilities
Production Monitoring & Incident Support

- Investigate production incidents and service disruptions using logs, metrics, dashboards, and tracing tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and support resolution of operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure platform reliability through proactive monitoring and alert management.
Observability & Operational Excellence
- Utilize observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, or similar platforms.
- Analyze logs, dashboards, and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies,
and potential risks.
- Create and maintain operational dashboards and alerts when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on monitoring effectiveness and system visibility.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Utilize Python, Shell, Bash, or similar scripting languages to increase operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and prompt engineering techniques to generate and enhance automation solutions.
- Execute, validate, and troubleshoot automation scripts using command-line interfaces.
Cloud & Platform Operations
- Support applications and services running in cloud environments.
- Work with AWS services and cloud-native operational practices.
- Assist in managing containerized workloads and deployment activities.
- Participate in CI/CD and release management processes.
- Contribute to operational readiness and system reliability initiatives.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with software engineers, product teams, and platform teams to improve system performance and reliability.
- Participate in operational reviews, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Document troubleshooting procedures,
operational runbooks, and best practices.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting production applications, platforms, or IT operations environments.
- Hands-on experience with at least one observability or monitoring platform such as:
- Datadog
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- CloudWatch
- Current Relic
- Splunk or similar tools
- Experience reading and analyzing logs, monitoring dashboards, and system metrics for troubleshooting and operational support.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Shell, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix command-line environments.
- Experience working within a cloud environment (AWS preferred; Azure or Google Cloud acceptable).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and operational support processes.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
- Experience supporting highly available and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for scripting, automation, and operational efficiencies.
- Exposure to incident management and post-mortem processes.
