Job Title: Billing & Planning Engineer RDSS Project

Location: Jharkhand

Job Summary:

The Billing and Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, monitoring, and billing activities under the RDSS scheme. The role involves preparation and verification of bills (client, subcontractor, vendor), project scheduling, progress tracking, and coordination with site and head office teams to ensure timely project execution and compliance with RDSS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Scheduling

- Develop detailed project execution plans, timelines, and schedules in line with RDSS project requirements.
- Prepare and update project progress reports.
- Monitor project progress versus baseline schedules and identify critical activities.
- Coordinate with site teams to collect daily, weekly, and monthly progress data.
- Assist in resource planning (manpower, materials) to meet project targets.

2. Billing and Documentation

- Prepare and verify client bills as per BOQ, work orders, and field progress.
- Verify subcontractor and vendor bills against actual work executed.
- Ensure all supporting documentation (JMC sheets, work completion certificates, Quality certificate, Devalulation,etc.) are complete and accurate.
- Reconcile quantities with DPRs (Daily Progress Reports) and material consumption records.
- Liaise with the client/consultant for bill approvals and payment follow-ups.

3. Coordination and Reporting

- Coordinate between site engineers, project managers, and head office for project updates.




- Prepare MIS reports—billing status, progress vs target, etc.
- Support in project progress presentations and reviews with DISCOM / PMA/ client.
- Ensure adherence to RDSS project specifications, guidelines, and timelines.

4. Quality and Compliance

- Maintain proper documentation as per RDSS norms for audits and inspections.
- Assist in preparation of DPRs, MPRs, and other reports required by the client.
- Ensure billing and planning processes comply with company and RDSS policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in billing and planning for power distribution or infrastructure projects.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in RDSS, IPDS, R-APDRP, or other power distribution schemes.
- Exposure to GIS-based systems and feeder-level project tracking.

Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, and ERP software.
- Positive understanding of BOQ, tender documents, and contract conditions.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage tight timelines.

Key Deliverables:

- Approved client and subcontractor bills as per project milestones.
- Updated project schedule and progress reports.
- Timely and accurate MIS, DPR, and MPR submissions.
- Compliance with RDSS documentation and audit requirements.
