POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Chief Legal & Compliance Officer (CXO) to lead our legal strategy, regulatory compliance framework, and risk mitigation initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee legal functions, ensuring alignment with legal standards, championing compliance knowledge management.

Role & responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Validate and implement recent and amended compliance frameworks for applicable laws across India.
- Continuously monitor and track statutory, and regulatory changes to ensure proactive organizational readiness.
- Drive complete adherence to Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards, data privacy, and organizational data security policies.

- Legal Advisory & Product Strategy

- Serve as the primary compliance advisor, deriving industry-specific legal requirements and delivering strategic legal consultations.
- Conduct in-depth research on legal issues affecting the companys products, operations, and cross-functional departmental needs.
- Research competitor product features to advise on enhancements, ensuring feature developments comply with quality management standards and statutory norms.
- Advise clients regarding compliances related concerns.
- Conduct labour compliance webinar, conference etc.
- Contribute expert insights for company blogs, whitepapers, regulatory advisories, and thought leadership content.

- Litigation,



Governance & Contract Management

- Supervise, review, and negotiate complex legal agreements, contracts, and corporate documentation.
- Oversee litigations and court cases for and against the company.
- Engage and manage relationships with external legal consultants and lawyers to secure specialized legal opinions.

- Knowledge Leadership & Capacity Building

- Design, conduct, and facilitate internal and external legal training programs, e-learning initiatives, and capacity-building sessions.
- Maintain and continually enrich the companys legal knowledge base and Compliance Knowledge Hub with regular subject updates.
- Oversee knowledge outreach programs to position the organization as a regulatory thought leader.

- Budgeting & Financial Management

- Prepare, manage, and track the budget for the Compliance Knowledge Hub.

Preferred candidate profile

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Education: Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. / LL.M.) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive legal and compliance experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior executive or leadership role.
- Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of Regulatory compliances.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven executive presence, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to articulate complex legal requirements to non-legal stakeholders.
