Role & Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive wiring harnesses and electrical schematics from concept through production.

- Own schematic and harness design deliverables, ensuring quality, functionality, and project timelines.

- Develop EDS topology and support vehicle electrical architecture and CAN backbone finalization.

- Perform power distribution, ground distribution, resistance, voltage drop, and short-circuit/fuse blow calculations.

- Conduct DRC and schematic simulations to identify and resolve design issues.

- Create 2D wiring harness drawings and circuit schematics using Capital Tool.

- Perform 3D wiring harness routing and packaging using UG NX Electrical Module.

- Design and optimize clamps, brackets, panels, and other harness packaging components.

- Support DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, benchmarking, cost reduction, and design optimization activities.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for prototype, pre-production, and serial production vehicle development.

- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive standards and regulations, including CMVR, AIS, and ECE.

- Support verification, testing, validation, and resolution of production/design issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.

- 57 years of relevant experience in automotive E&E;, wiring harness, or EDS design.

- Strong hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness and schematic design.

- Proficiency in Capital Tool for schematic and 2D harness drawing preparation.

- Hands-on experience with UG NX / NX Electrical Module for 3D harness routing.

- Positive understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, CAN, electrical aggregates, and circuit design.

- Knowledge of wire/fuse selection, power and ground distribution, voltage drop, and circuit protection.

- Understanding of harness packaging, routing, clamping, brackets, GD&T;, and assembly requirements.

- Working knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS, BOM, and engineering standards.

- Knowledge of automotive verification, validation, regulatory, and certification requirements.

- Candidates with experience in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, EVs, or hybrid vehicles will be preferred.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
