Position: Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled and compassionate Staff Nurses / Senior Staff Nurses to provide high-quality nursing care across Operation Theatre (OT), Emergency, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The candidate will be responsible for patient care, clinical procedures, monitoring, documentation, and coordination with doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide secure, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care as per hospital protocols.
- Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the concerned doctor.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, patient charts, medication records, and clinical documentation.
- Assist doctors during procedures, treatments, and emergency interventions.
- Ensure proper infection control practices and maintain a safe and hygienic clinical environment.

Operation Theatre (OT):

- Assist surgeons and anaesthesia teams during surgical procedures.
- Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, equipment, and required supplies before procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques during surgeries.
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts as per protocol.
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.

Emergency Department:

- Provide immediate nursing care to emergency and critical patients.
- Assist in triage, assessment, stabilization, and emergency management of patients.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist during CPR and resuscitation procedures.
- Prepare and administer emergency medications and assist doctors during emergency procedures.




- Closely monitor patients and ensure timely escalation of any deterioration.

ICU:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and other clinical parameters.
- Manage and monitor patients on ventilators and other critical-care equipment as per competency and hospital protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV infusions, blood products, and other treatments.
- Assist doctors with procedures and manage emergency situations effectively.
- Maintain accurate ICU documentation, nursing notes, and patient monitoring charts.

Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and infection-control protocols.
- Maintain proper stock of medicines, consumables, and emergency equipment.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, technicians, and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment, medication, and post-discharge care where required.
- Participate in handovers, training programs, audits, and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times.

Eligibility & Skills
- Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM.
- Valid nursing registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
- Relevant experience in OT, Emergency, ICU, or critical care will be preferred.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and critical-care environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.

Preferred Experience
- Staff Nurse: Relevant clinical experience in OT / Emergency / ICU preferred.
- Senior Staff Nurse: Prior experience in OT / Emergency / ICU with strong clinical knowledge and ability to independently handle patient care and critical situations.
