About the role

We are hiring one senior engineer to own design and simulation across our product range. You will take every design from 3D model to simulation to released drawings.

End goal: every design modelled, simulated, drawn and released with nothing failing in the field.

Must be good at

- Simulation: setting up loads and supports correctly and running static, buckling and deflection analysis
- Taking every simulation through to a transparent calculation report that a client or approver can check

Role & responsibilities
- Model parts and assemblies in 3D and produce complete AutoCAD drawing sets
- Calculate wind, snow and working loads for each project site
- Run simulations before any design is released, and size parts, joints and anchoring from the results
- Write the calculation report for every analysis, for clients and approvals
- Turn simulation results into standard selection tables, so routine projects don't need a new analysis




- Check the drafting team's drawings against the simulation before release
- Keep material weight to the minimum the loads allow

Preferred candidate profile
- B.E. Mechanical; M.Tech in Machine Design or CAE is an advantage
- 4 to 6 years in a role where you both design and run your own simulations
- AutoCAD, plus Inventor, SolidWorks or NX
- Inventor Nastran, ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation used on real projects
- Has calculated wind loads to a code such as IS 875, Eurocode or ASCE 7

Selection process

- Walk-in interview in Chennai
- One to two weeks of remote trial
- Three weeks of required basic training, with a stipend provided
