Role SummaryWe're looking for a Videographer & Video Editor who can own both ends of the content pipeline (shooting and editing) for SparkSeed and our portfolio companies: founder interviews, event coverage, office/culture content, and social-first video for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. This is not a split role where you only shoot or only edit; you'll be expected to do both at an intermediate-to-mid level. You'll work alongside the founder and content manager, who will share references and a point of direction for each piece of content, but you're expected to bring your own creative concepts and opinions to the table, not just execute instructions.

If a reference or idea isn't going to work in practice, you're expected to say so and suggest a better approach. We're looking for someone who shoots cleanly, edits fast, and brings real creative judgment to the work.

Key Responsibilities

- Shoot and edit high-quality video content end-to-end: founder interviews, event coverage, behind-the-scenes/culture content, and short-form social videos.
- Set up and operate cameras, lenses,



gimbals, lighting, and audio recording equipment for each shoot.
- Edit footage into polished, platform-ready videos (cuts, transitions, color correction, captions, sound) for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and internal/investor use.
- Plan shoots in advance with the content team: shot lists, storyboards, and location scouting.
- Repurpose long-form footage into short-form cuts optimized for each platform's format.
- Accompany the CEO/leadership team to expos, conferences, and important external meetings or events (including outstation travel) to shoot and edit content in near real time for LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Maintain an organized, version-controlled library of raw and edited files.
- Maintain and take basic care of camera, audio, and editing equipment/software.
- Turn around edits within agreed timelines, incorporating feedback quickly.

What We're Looking For

- This role is strictly for 2.5 to 4 years of relevant experience in both videography and video editing. This is not a freshers' role, and candidates outside this experience range (either below or above) will not be considered.
- Demonstrated intermediate-to-mid level skill in BOTH videography (camera operation, lighting, composition) AND video editing (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar), not just one of the two.
- A portfolio or demo reel showing both shot footage and edited output is mandatory (see application instructions below).




- Comfortable working on-site in Bangalore and traveling locally for shoots, plus occasional outstation travel with the CEO/leadership team (all travel expenses covered by the company).
- Able to work closely with the founder and content manager, who will provide references and direction, while bringing your own creative concepts, opinions, and point of view to each piece of content — not just executing instructions.
- Comfortable flagging ideas or references that won't work in practice and proposing a better alternative, rather than silently executing a brief you don't think will land.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing both shoot days and edit deadlines in the same week.

Employment Terms

- Probation period: 3 months from the date of joining.
- Confirmation: employment is confirmed as permanent on successful completion of the probation period.
- Notice period: 30 days from either side, applicable after confirmation of employment.
