Internship Details

Mode: Virtual / Remote (India)

Duration: 1 to 3 months (Flexible)

Employment Type: Full-time internship

About the Opportunity

SkillzenLoop is hiring UI/UX Design Interns for freshers and entry-level candidates who care about how digital products look, feel and work. This internship is built around practical design work: researching users, sketching flows, building wireframes and turning them into clickable prototypes in Figma that developers can build from.

This role suits candidates who want to build a career in UI design, UX design, product design or user research.

Role Overview

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will work on structured design assignments under the guidance of experienced team members. You will learn how designers move from a user problem to a tested screen, and how to explain design decisions with reasons instead of personal taste.

Key Responsibilities

- Run simple user interviews, surveys and competitor reviews
- Sketch user flows and low-fidelity wireframes to explore ideas quickly
- Build high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Design consistent layouts using colour, typography, spacing and reusable components
- Test designs with real users and improve them based on what you observe
- Check designs for accessibility basics such as contrast, text size and tap targets
- Prepare clean design files and hand-off notes for developers
- Document design decisions and share progress in regular reviews

Who Can Apply
- Freshers, entry-level candidates, or students pursuing or completing B.Des, BFA, B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT, Multimedia, Animation), MCA, diploma programs or any degree with strong design skills

- Self-taught designers who can show their skills through a Behance or Dribbble profile, portfolio or case study
- Candidates interested in product and interface design
- Candidates available to work full-time for the internship period

Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Figma (frames, auto layout, components, prototyping)
- Understanding of hierarchy, alignment, contrast and consistency
- Ability to explain design choices clearly
- Openness to feedback and quick improvement
- Empathy for users and attention to detail
- A laptop and a stable internet connection for remote work

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
- A small portfolio, case study or practice project
- Familiarity with Miro, FigJam or Whimsical
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge

What You Will Learn
- The full design process, from research to developer hand-off
- Wireframing and prototyping in Figma

- Usability testing basics
- Building consistent design systems and components
- Presenting and defending design decisions

Why Join SkillzenLoop
- Beginner-friendly, project-based internship
- Work from your own city anywhere in India
- Regular design feedback from experienced team members
- Case studies and prototypes you can show in future interviews
- Certificate of completion on successful completion of the internship
