Job Purpose To conduct concurrent audit of treasury operations on a real-time or near real-time basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, risk management frameworks, and approved treasury dealing practices. The role involves identifying irregularities, control weaknesses, operational risks, and reporting exceptions to management for timely corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Audit Activities

- Conduct concurrent audit of treasury operations including:

- Money Market transactions

- Government securities

- Bonds and debt instruments

- Investment portfolio transactions

- Certificate of Deposits

- Priority Sector Lending’s

- Verify deal transactions from front office, mid-office, and back-office perspectives.

- Review treasury transactions for authorization, accuracy, and compliance with approved limits.

- Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, accounting standards, and internal treasury policies.

Compliance & Risk Review

- Monitor compliance with:

- Treasury Investment Policy

- Risk Management Policy

- ALM (Asset Liability Management) guidelines

- Regulatory requirements

- Review limit monitoring mechanisms, including:

- Dealer limits

- Counterparty limits

- Exposure limits

- Stop-loss limits

- Identify operational, market, liquidity, and compliance risks.

Verification & Reconciliation

- Verify deal tickets and confirmations.

- Review reconciliation of:

- Investment accounts

- Treasury GL accounts





- Ensure timely settlement of treasury deals and identify exceptions.

Reporting

- Prepare concurrent audit reports highlighting:

- Audit observations

- Process deficiencies

- Compliance breaches

- Financial implications

- Recommendations for improvement

- Track closure of audit observations and corrective actions.

- Escalate critical findings to management promptly.

System & Control Review

- Assess effectiveness of treasury management systems (TMS).

- Review maker-checker controls and segregation of duties.

- Evaluate access controls and user authorization matrices.

- Test system-generated reports and exception monitoring controls.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Experience

- Minimum 1 year or more experience in:

- Treasury Operations

- Treasury Audit

- Internal Audit

- Concurrent Audit

- Banking Treasury Functions

- Experience with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, or audit firms preferred.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of treasury products and operations.

- Understanding of RBI guidelines.

- Knowledge of capital markets and fixed income instruments.

- Familiarity with treasury management systems and banking applications.

- Robust analytical and reconciliation skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
