- Manufacture, repair, modify, and maintain press tools, dies, punches, die sets, and related tooling.

- Attend press tool breakdowns and carry out corrective repairs to minimize production downtime.

- Perform tool setting, fitting, assembly, and trial activities.

- Read and understand tool drawings, component drawings, and engineering specifications.

- Carry out grinding, milling, drilling, fitting, filing, lapping, and polishing operations as required.

- Check and maintain punch-die clearances, shut heights, alignment, and other critical tooling parameters.

- Support tool try-outs and trials and make necessary corrections to achieve required component dimensions and quality.

- Identify root causes of tool-related defects such as burrs, dimensional variation, cracks, misalignment, and improper forming.





- Carry out preventive maintenance of press tools as per the defined schedule.

- Maintain and replace worn-out punches, dies, springs, guide pillars, bushes, and other tooling components.

- Coordinate with the Press Shop, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for tooling-related issues.

- Ensure tools are available and ready as per the production plan.

- Maintain records of tool repairs, modifications, preventive maintenance, and tool history.

- Follow safety procedures while working on press tools and tool-room equipment.

- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards in the tool room and press shop.
