KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Cable & Wire Testing

- Perform testing and evaluation of Electrical Cables, Wires and Conductors as per applicable Indian and International Standards.
- Carry out routine, type and special tests as applicable to the laboratory's scope.
- Interpret relevant test methods, specifications, drawings and customer test requirements.
- Conduct tests in accordance with approved laboratory Test Methods, SOPs, Work Instructions and Standards.
- Ensure proper identification, handling and traceability of test samples.
- Record test observations, measurements and results accurately.

B. Standards & Technical Knowledge: The candidate should have working knowledge of relevant standards such as:

- IS Standards related to Cables & Wires
- IEC Standards 1
- BS / BS EN Standards
- Other applicable International Standards and specifications

Knowledge of standards such as IS 694, IS 7098, IS 1554, IS 17048, IS 14255, IS 9968 and other relevant cable standards will be an added advantage. The candidate should be capable of understanding:





- Test requirements
- Sampling requirements
- Test conditions
- Acceptance criteria
- Test parameters
- Calculation requirements
- Reporting requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of Cable & Wire Testing.
- Practical experience in an NABL Accredited Testing Laboratory.
- Good knowledge of IS and International Standards.
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
- Ability to interpret technical standards and test methods.
- Good knowledge of electrical testing instruments.
- Strong analytical and calculation skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify abnormal test results and testing deviations.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong focus on accuracy, safety and technical integrity

Pay: ₹402,000.00 - ₹440,000.00 per year
