Role Description The TEST LEAD - Switching and routing role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The individual in this role will lead end-to-end testing activities for switching and routing solutions, including planning test cycles, defining test strategies, and coordinating execution with the wider engineering and QA teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing test plans and test cases, overseeing functional, regression, and performance testing, and ensuring test coverage for network protocols and configurations.

The test lead will collaborate with developers, network engineers, and product owners to analyze requirements, identify defects, drive root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of issues. The role also involves maintaining test documentation, monitoring quality metrics, improving testing processes,



and mentoring junior testers to uphold high standards of software and network quality.

Qualifications

- Strong test management skills, including planning, prioritization, coordination of test activities, and reporting on test progress and outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with test execution and general testing practices for switching and routing products, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Ability to define and implement effective test strategies aligned with project goals and quality benchmarks for network solutions.
- Solid foundation in quality assurance principles, methods, and tools, with a focus on preventing defects and improving overall product reliability.
- Excellent knowledge in L2 (vlan, lag), L3(ospf, bgp), VxLAN, EVPN (All mandatory protocols)
- Good understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), switching technologies, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience working with test automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) for network testing is an advantage.
- Python programming/coding, PyATS framework / Robot / Pytest. Ability to design Python scripts from scratch related to networking protocols and features
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools, and familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
