Key Responsibilities

- Test Automation Development &
- Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python).
- Automate both web-based applications and mainframe testing (via appropriate tools and interfaces).
- Test Strategy &
- Execution:
- Create and execute comprehensive test scenarios for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
- Ensure full test coverage across user stories, APIs, UI layers, and backend systems.
- Backend &
- Database Validation:
- Perform rigorous backend validation using SQL queries and advanced database testing techniques across platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL.
- Validate data integrity, consistency, and business logic at the database level.
- Test Design &
- Documentation:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design detailed test cases, test data, and execution reports.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation in alignment with project standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 27701, UAE regulations).
- Defect Management &
- Collaboration:
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using Jira, Zephyr,



and other defect management tools.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
- Agile &
- CI/CD Integration:
- Actively participate in sprint planning, estimation, grooming, and daily stand-ups in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build processes using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Docker.
- Enable continuous testing and shift-left testing practices.
- Framework Enhancement &
- Efficiency:
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, BDD with Cucumber, REST Assured, Postman) to improve execution speed, reliability, and reusability.
- Optimize test execution time through parallel execution, test data management, and intelligent test selection.
- Reporting &
- Metrics:
- Generate actionable test execution reports, release health dashboards, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
- Use tools like Confluence, Jira, Zephyr, and Power BI/Tableau for real-time visibility into testing progress and quality trends.
