Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious and student-focused Study Abroad Counselor to guide students through the exciting process of planning their international education. In this role, you will take qualified student leads, evaluate their academic profiles, recommend suitable overseas universities and courses, and assist them through the application, documentation, and admission procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Student Profile Evaluation: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to evaluate students' academic transcripts, career goals, test scores (IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT), and financial budgets.
- Course & University Shortlisting: Recommend appropriate universities, degree programs, and intake timelines across key study destinations (e.g., USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Europe).
- Application Assistance: Guide students step-by-step through application requirements, including reviewing Statements of Purpose (SOPs), Letters of Recommendation (LORs), resumes, and academic transcripts.
- Lead Conversion & Follow-Up: Work closely with the telecalling/lead-generation team to follow up on prospective students, schedule advisement sessions, and convert warm leads into active applicants.
- Basic Visa & Financial Guidance: Provide initial information on student visa requirements, financial proof formats,



scholarship options, and education loans.
- Process Tracking & CRM: Maintain updated student progress tracking, application statuses, offer letters, and communication records in the CRM platform.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in study-abroad counseling, international student recruitment, or test-prep advisement.
- Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of foreign higher education systems, intake cycles, admission deadlines, and standard test requirements.
- Communication Skills: Professional spoken and written English skills with strong interpersonal rapport-building ability.
- Key Traits: High detail orientation (for error-free application submission), empathy, patience, and goal-driven focus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Application Conversion: Number of counseled students who formally submit university applications.
- Offer Acceptance Rate: Number of student applications successfully resulting in conditional/unconditional offer letters.
- Data Accuracy: Error-free record keeping and timeline adherence across application files.
