Job Title: Staff AI Platform & Modernization Engineer - Job Support

Engagement Type: Job Support / Mentorship

Commitment: 2 to 3 Hours Per Day | Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced Staff-level Engineer to provide dedicated job support for a complex, enterprise-grade Financial Services Modernization program.

The core initiative involves modernizing a landscape of approximately 16 interconnected legacy systems (including AS/400, DB2, AIX, Caché / InterSystems based systems) into a modern, cloud-native, auditable System of Record.

This is a Job Support Role, not a full-time employment. You will be required to guide, unblock, and provide hands-on technical support to an engineer working on this engagement.

Key Responsibilities for Support:

- Legacy Discovery & Analysis: Guide on analyzing legacy codebases, data models, and system dependencies. Support on automated requirements extraction and business rule identification from legacy systems.
- AI / Agentic Engineering Support: Provide support in building AI-accelerated modernization workflows - using LLMs, Agents, and RAG to accelerate code understanding, documentation, and migration planning.
- ML Infrastructure & Evaluation: Support on designing robust evaluation frameworks for AI-generated artifacts, ensuring deterministic, auditable, and compliant outputs for financial services.
- RAG & Knowledge Systems:



Help with designing and troubleshooting RAG pipelines over legacy documentation, code, and runbooks.
- Backend & Platform Engineering: Provide guidance on backend design, API modernization, cloud architecture, and data migration strategies from legacy DB2 / Caché to modern stacks.
- Problem Solving & Unblocking: Help debug production-level issues, review code/design, and prepare for client technical discussions.

Required Technical Skills:

- 5 Years of overall experience in Software Engineering / ML Platform / AI Engineering.
- Solid hands-on experience in Python, Backend Engineering (APIs, Microservices), and Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Proven experience with LLMs, RAG, Agentic Frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph or similar), and Vector Databases.
- Experience with ML Infrastructure, Model Evaluation, and Production AI Systems.
- Understanding of Legacy Systems Concepts - AS/400, DB2, AIX, Caché, or other mainframe/legacy financial systems is a huge plus.
- Strong knowledge of System Design, Data Migration, and Dependency Analysis.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and provide task-level support.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
