- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to independently troubleshoot, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Experience working collaboratively across distributed teams while maintaining strong documentation, communication, and handoffs.
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced, consulting-oriented environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines using Azure services including ADF, ADLS Gen2, Event Hub, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience implementing batch, file-based, API, and event-driven ingestion patterns.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, testing, monitoring,



and operational support processes.
- Experience with schema management, incremental processing, performance optimization, and production-ready pipeline development.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover, and production stabilization activities.
- Understanding of security, governance, and handling sensitive financial or employee data.

Nice to Have

- Databricks Data Engineer Certification.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, governance controls, and Lakehouse architecture.
- Experience with ingestion accelerators, reusable framework development, or large-scale data modernization initiatives.
- Experience supporting Concur, AppZen, Workday, SAP, ERP, Finance, or Expense Management data integrations
- Experience with orchestration and scheduling platforms such as Azure Data Factory or Airflow.
