Sr. QA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and results-driven Senior QA Engineer with 78 years of experience across Manual and Automation Testing . The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in QA processes, hands-on automation experience using Python/PyTest/Selenium , and the ability to drive quality initiatives across our core product suite.

You will play a key role in building a robust quality ecosystem, improving automation coverage, identifying critical risks, and ensuring high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing .
- Develop, maintain, execute, and debug automation scripts using Python .
- Design, extend, and maintain robust automation frameworks.
- Identify, report, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA .
- Lead requirement analysis, test planning, and test case reviews.
- Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
- Manage defect triage and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional reviews.
- Monitor automation/nightly test runs and troubleshoot failures.
- Identify edge cases and potential production issues before release.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and overall quality culture.
- Coordinate with teams during release processes.

Automation Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Python, PyTest, and Selenium .




- Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks independently.
- Knowledge of automation design patterns and framework architecture .
- Experience automating UI and backend services .
- Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines .
- Ability to independently design, extend, debug, and maintain test frameworks.

API & Database Testing

- Experience with REST API testing , including functional and contract validation.
- Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools .
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex SQL queries .
- Experience validating data pipelines, data migrations, and backend data.

Required Qualifications

- 7–8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA .
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes.
- Solid experience in writing test cases and test scenarios.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA .
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI .
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a "break-it" mindset .
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of driving quality initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with development and product teams.
- Exposure to Agentic AI testing frameworks will be an added advantage.
