Responsibilities
- Design fittings and couplings (JIC, BSP, NPT, ORFS, SAE flange, metric) and prepare 3D models and GD&T; drawings.
- Run prototypes, trials and pilot lots through to production.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and vendors on manufacturability, costing and tooling.
- Plan validation tests (pressure, burst, leak) and maintain NPD documentation.
- Handle customer technical queries and sample approvals.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical [confirm if Diploma is acceptable].
- 5–6 years of NPD experience in pipes, fittings or hydraulic connectors.
- SolidWorks or Creo, AutoCAD, and good knowledge of thread standards and materials.
Valuable to have: tube bending, brazing or hose assembly exposure.
