Position Overview

The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple Finance & Accounting (F&A;) functions, including Management Accounting (MAC), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR), while ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients. The role oversees large teams, drives operational excellence, manages client relationships, and ensures achievement of agreed SLAs, KPIs, and business objectives. The position plays a strategic role in process transitions, resource planning, financial performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, the individual is responsible for driving operational efficiencies, improving profitability, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing automation and process enhancement initiatives. The role also serves as a key escalation point for clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.

Responsibilities

- Managing multiple processes
- Should have sound knowledge of all F&A; verticals i.e., Accounts (MAC, AP & AR)
- Should be able to manage bigger teams (min 20 people team management experience) and clients independently
- Manage manpower requirement in the team/processes (ongoing as well as future)
- Ensuring that team is meeting the SLAs and KPIs of the client
- Performing Transition of the new processes successfully




- Managing Clients Escalations / concerns and resolve independently
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
- Identifying opportunities of process improvements or automation on continuous basis and implement the same
- Identifying and discussing opportunities of increasing heads in the team or company (including cross selling)
- Managing/Improving Margins for different Processes
- Assist Sr. AVP in activities where support is required
- Should be looking for long term engagement with QX

Key Success Measures

- Successfully manage multiple Finance & Accounting processes across AP, AR, and Management Accounting functions.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams of 20+ professionals while ensuring resource optimization and succession planning.
- Achieve and consistently exceed client SLAs, KPIs, quality, and productivity targets.
- Ensure smooth transition and stabilization of recent processes and client engagements.
- Effectively manage client relationships, escalations, and stakeholder expectations with minimal escalation to senior leadership.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.




- Improve operational margins through productivity enhancements, resource optimization, and process standardization.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion, cross-selling, and additional service offerings.
- Foster employee engagement, retention, and career development within the team.
- Support strategic business initiatives and provide leadership support to the Senior AVP as required.

Skills & Experience

- CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 8-12+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting Operations, Shared Services, BPO, KPO, or Global Capability Centers.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
- Proven experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Management Accounting, and client delivery functions.
- Experience handling client-facing roles and managing multiple stakeholders independently.
- Successful track record of process transitions, change management, and operational scaling.
- Experience managing P&L;, operational margins, workforce planning, and productivity metrics.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
