Job Responsibilities

- Establish and scale Software Engineering and AI capabilities in the GCC in India by building high performance teams that learn and adapt quickly to changing technology needs
- Establish the AI CoE in the GCC that can enable rapid prototyping / MVP building for the enterprise
- Bring to life the technology and AI strategy for Gilead by translating strategy into tangible and realizable execution roadmaps
- Successful execution of the delivery roadmaps leveraging cutting edge technologies; Drive end-to-end product engineering across R&D;, Commercial, PDM and enterprise functions using modern, cloud-native, data platforms and AI
- Ensure quality and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements of all built solutions, in line with ethical AI standards and governance practices where applicable
- Collaborate with multi-functional IT and business teams to deliver solutions




- Champion continuous learning and upskilling of the tech team to stay relevant, bring newer tech trends for awareness and consumption by the larger teams Foster a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, and agile ways of working

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field and 14+ years of relevant experienceOR Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience building, managing and maintaining software solutions and products in global, matrixed organizations
- Deep Life Sciences industry experience with development of multi-functional greenfield solutions (R&D;, S&M;, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Corporate systems etc.)
- Extensive experience in leading application development / enterprise solutions development teams through end-to-end lifecycle, preferably in a GCC setup
- Extensive experience in building and leading large offshore or global technology teams.
- Hands-on involvement in software engineering, cloud architecture, digital platforms and products, AI solutions development effort
- Consistent success in adopting and promoting innovation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior business and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with the compliance and regulatory requirements of the Life Sciences industry through adoption and application of GxP processes, data privacy and security requirements
- Familiarity with GenAI, real-world evidence (RWE),



and digital health ecosystems Experience setting up or scaling a GCC / global engineering hub in India
