Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Sports Teacher / Physical Education Teacher (PET) who can encourage students to actively participate in sports and physical activities while promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting regular Physical Education classes, organizing sports activities and competitions, identifying students with sporting potential, and contributing to the overall physical development and well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Physical Education and sports classes for students across different grade levels.
- Plan age-appropriate physical activities, fitness exercises, games, and sports sessions.
- Train students in indoor and outdoor sports such as Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Yoga, and other school-level sports.
- Encourage maximum student participation in sports and physical fitness activities.
- Identify talented students and provide additional coaching for inter-school, district, and other competitions.
- Prepare students and school teams for tournaments, sports meets, and competitions.
- Plan and coordinate the school's Annual Sports Day, inter-house competitions, and other sporting events.
- Maintain discipline and ensure students follow appropriate safety practices during all sports activities.
- Maintain sports equipment, inventory, and ensure proper use and storage of equipment.




- Maintain records of student participation, performance, achievements, and competition results.
- Coordinate with class teachers, coordinators, and school management regarding sports activities and student performance.
- Support morning exercises, assemblies, fitness activities, and other school events whenever required.
- Promote values of teamwork, leadership, discipline, confidence, fair play, and sportsmanship among students.
- Ensure that the playground, sports facilities, and equipment are safe and appropriately maintained.

Qualification & Experience
- B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. or equivalent recognized qualification in Physical Education preferred.
- Relevant experience as a Sports Teacher / Physical Education Teacher in a school will be preferred.
- Knowledge of multiple indoor and outdoor sports.
- Experience in coaching students for school-level or inter-school competitions is an advantage.
- Good communication and classroom/student management skills.
- Ability to organize sporting events and manage groups of students effectively.
