SQL Database Administrator

JD: SQL Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of the organization’s Microsoft SQL Server database environments. This role ensures that data is highly available, secure, structurally sound, and performing optimally to support business operations.

Core Responsibilities

- Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances, system/user databases, and related tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio - SSMS) across development, staging, and production environments.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proactively monitor system health using PerfMon, SQL Profiler, or IDERA. Diagnose execution plans, optimize slow-running queries, manage indexes, and manage server resource consumption (CPU, memory, storage).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, implement,



and routinely test comprehensive backup strategies (full, differential, and transaction log). Manage high-availability architectures like AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Failover Cluster Instances.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce role-based access control (RBAC), manage user permissions, deploy data encryption (at rest and in transit), and audit database usage to satisfy industry regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
- Automation & Scripting: Reduce manual effort by developing scripts via PowerShell or Transact-SQL (T-SQL) to automate maintenance tasks, software deployments, and system alerts.

Pay: ₹1,850,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
