WE’RE HIRING – SOFTWARE TESTER / QA TESTER

Muthoot Infotech, under Muthoot MCred, is looking for an experienced Software Tester / QA Tester to join our team in Kochi.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester / QA Tester who will be responsible for testing applications, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with development and business teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Maintain test cases, test reports, and defect documentation.
- Participate in requirement discussions and provide testing inputs.
- Ensure applications meet defined quality and business requirements.
- Identify potential risks and quality issues before production release.
- Support UAT and production validation activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.




- Strong knowledge of STLC and Defect Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Good understanding of test case design and test execution.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Database Testing is preferred.
- Knowledge of API Testing using Postman is an added advantage.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with development and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, NBFC, or FinTech applications is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
