The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our technology team. The role involves building scalable, reliable and high-performance applications, with a primary focus on backend development while also contributing to full-stack development.

What You'll Do

- Develop and maintain scalable applications with a primary focus on backend development.
- Contribute to the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and design to development, testing and deployment.
- Design and develop robust, maintainable and effective code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with product, technology and cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.




- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, reliability and code quality.
- Write and maintain technical documentation where required.

What We'll Need

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably with Java/J2EE technologies.
- Robust understanding of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented programming.
- Positive problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Technical Skills:

Backend

- Strong knowledge of Core Java, including Collections, Multithreading and Design Patterns.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Experience in developing REST APIs/services.
- Understanding of application architecture and backend development practices.

Frontend

- Working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery.
- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.

Database

- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

Design & Modelling

- Understanding of UML and ERD.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.

Good to Have

- Experience working in a product-based company.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Understanding of performance optimisation and scalable system design.
- Experience working with high-volume data or transaction-heavy applications.
