Social Media Marketing Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and social-media-savvy Social Media Marketing Intern to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who actively follows social media trends, understands what makes content engaging, and is excited to learn how brands build communities and grow their digital presence.

You will work closely with the marketing and content teams to support social media campaigns, content creation, trend identification, community engagement, and day-to-day management of social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing the brand’s social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
- Support the planning and execution of monthly and weekly social media content calendars.
- Research and identify trending formats, reels, audio, memes, hashtags and social media trends relevant to the brand.
- Assist in developing creative ideas for Reels, static posts, carousels, stories and other social-first content.
- Coordinate with internal creative, content and marketing teams for timely execution of social media content.
- Support influencer and creator collaborations, including content coordination and tracking.
- Monitor comments, messages and audience interactions and support community engagement.
- Conduct competitor and category research to identify new content opportunities.
- Track basic social media metrics such as reach, engagement, views, followers and content performance.
- Prepare regular social media performance reports and highlight key learnings.




- Stay updated on emerging social media platforms, tools, trends and content formats.
- Support social media campaigns and other digital marketing initiatives as required.
- What We’re Looking For

- Graduate or pursuing a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Media or a related field.
- Solid interest in social media, content creation and digital marketing.
- Active understanding of platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
- Good knowledge of current social media trends, memes and content formats.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to come up with fresh content ideas.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut or other content creation tools is an advantage.

Good to Have

- Personal experience managing an Instagram page, YouTube channel, college/community page or social media account.
- Basic understanding of Instagram Insights, YouTube Analytics or social media analytics.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and creator ecosystems.
- Basic knowledge of video editing and short-form content creation.
- A portfolio or examples of social media/content work.
