About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator who instinctively knows what makes someone stop scrolling. You will own the ideas, hooks, scripts and shoots that turn authors, books and writing challenges into content that grows the community and brings current writers in. The role is based at our Jhandewalan office and works closely with the marketing and author teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and run a consistent content calendar across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and other platforms where writers and readers spend time.

- Write sharp hooks, scripts and captions for Reels and Shorts that grab attention in the first two seconds and hold it through to the end.

- Build content around the author journey: author stories and milestones, book launches, behind-the-scenes from the press and warehouse, writing prompts and tips, and the writing challenges.

- Shoot and edit short-form video in-house, and coordinate with authors for testimonials, interviews and collaborations.

- Track trends, formats and audio in the Bookstagram and poetry communities, and adapt them to the brand quickly.

- Measure performance (reach, watch time, saves, shares, follower growth, sign-ups)



and use it to decide what to make more of and what to drop.

- Work with the marketing team so organic content supports campaigns, challenge launches and author acquisition.

- Engage with the community in comments and DMs to build a loyal base of writers and readers.

Requirements

- 2+ years creating social content for a brand, D2C company, media page or creator account, with a portfolio of short-form videos and posts you made yourself.

- A strong sense of high-quality content and scroll-stopping hooks, and the ability to explain why a piece worked or didn't.

- Excellent written English. Hindi is a plus.

- Hands-on with Canva and at least one video editor such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or VN.

- Comfortable on camera, or confident directing authors and team members on camera.

- A working understanding of Instagram and YouTube analytics and how the algorithms reward content.

- A genuine interest in books, writing or poetry is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with a publishing, edtech, creator-economy or community-led brand.

- An account or page you have grown, with numbers to show for it
