Role

TFA is looking for an experienced Senior Solar Thermal Project Engineer to support the engineering and execution of industrial solar thermal projects, primarily in Indonesia and Malaysia .

This is a hands-on engineering and site role covering system design, technical coordination, installation supervision, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering .
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solar water heating / solar thermal systems .
- Strong practical experience in system design, engineering and project execution .
- Proficient in AutoCAD and preparation/review of technical drawings.
- Good technical knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, controls and thermal systems .
- Capable of handling site installation, testing and commissioning .




- Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving ability.
- Able to coordinate contractors, suppliers and site teams independently .
- Able to review site conditions and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Willing to travel internationally and work at project sites , particularly in Indonesia and Malaysia.
- Valuable communication and technical coordination skills.
- Experience with industrial boilers, steam systems or process heating systems will be an added advantage.

Nature of the Role This is a hands-on engineering role — not an office-only position.

The selected candidate should be comfortable taking responsibility from design and engineering through site execution, testing, commissioning and project handover .

Experience with industrial heating, thermal storage, process heating or renewable thermal energy systems will be an advantage.
