Senior SFDC Developer – Service Cloud & Field Service Lightning (FSL)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer (SFDC) with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting Salesforce solutions to meet business and technical requirements.

This is a project-based contract/freelance opportunity with a US-based client , requiring candidates to be available during the required US CST (Central Standard Time) working hours .

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, customize, and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform .
- Develop and enhance applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and asynchronous processing .
- Work extensively with Salesforce Service Cloud functionalities, including Cases, Service Console, Knowledge, Omni-Channel, and customer service processes.
- Configure and develop solutions using Field Service Lightning (FSL) , including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Skills, Territories, Scheduling, and Dispatch.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration technologies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce technical solutions.
- Perform Salesforce configuration, customization, and development based on project requirements.
- Develop reusable and scalable components following Salesforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and provide timely technical resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, QA teams, and other technical teams.
- Support data migration, deployment, and release management activities where required.




- Ensure solutions follow Salesforce governor limits, security, performance, and development best practices .

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Development / SFDC .
- Solid expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud .
- Hands-on experience with Field Service Lightning (FSL) .
- Strong programming experience in Apex .
- Strong experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) .
- Experience with Apex Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and asynchronous processing .
- Good understanding of Salesforce APIs and integrations .
- Experience with REST/SOAP web services and third-party integrations.
- Good understanding of Salesforce data model, security, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and governor limits.
- Experience with SOQL/SOSL .
- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools and release processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Salesforce Service Cloud Experience Candidates should have practical experience with areas such as:

- Case Management

- Salesforce Automation

Field Service Lightning (FSL) Experience Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is highly preferred:

- Dispatch Console
- Mobile Workforce
- FSL configuration and customization
- FSL integrations

Preferred Qualifications

- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Platform App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, or Field Service Consultant are preferred.
- Experience working on enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/project-based environment.

Experience 8+ years of relevant Salesforce/SFDC development experience , with strong hands-on experience in Service Cloud, FSL, Apex, LWC, and integrations .
