Senior QA Engineer, software development and testing lifecycles, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks - Python, API Testing, React JS, Manual, functional and Automation testing. Python and Pytest is very much required for Testers

- Work Location:( if Multiple locations please mention possible locations)- Hyderabad, Bengaluru preferred (also Okay with any other location in India – as completely work from home)
- Total Experience to be looked at: 5 to 8 years’ experience
- Work type : Fully remote
- Working Hours : EMEA/NA time zones - Depending on the project allocated to them from the end Clients side.

Requirement 2 - Senior QA Engineer:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the software development and testing lifecycles, coupled with a passion for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through efficient and effective automated testing strategies. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our automated testing frameworks, identifying critical defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Planning:
- Analyze and thoroughly understand software requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Identify potential edge cases and break down complex systems into testable components.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of comprehensive test strategies, both manual and automated.
- Test Automation Development & Execution:
- Design, develop,



and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using Python and relevant testing frameworks (e.g., pytest).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and regression testing.
- Develop and implement automated tests for RESTful APIs, including testing various HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), request/response validation, and error handling.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results, identifying and reporting defects.
- Leverage testing tools such as Octane for test case management and defect tracking.
- Manual & Exploratory Testing:
- Perform thorough manual testing, including functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to detect subtle issues and inconsistencies in software behavior and documentation.
- Proactively explore the application, ask critical questions, and go beyond the obvious to uncover hidden defects.
- Defect Management & Reporting:
- Clearly and concisely document bugs, including steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and relevant logs.
- Effectively communicate test findings, including identified defects and risks, to developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues, isolating root causes, and suggesting potential solutions.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,



including developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
- Participate actively in team meetings, agile ceremonies, and other collaborative efforts.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Utilize programming languages, particularly Python, for scripting and automation.
- Gain expertise in testing automation frameworks and tools.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB, understanding data integrity and performing data-driven testing.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the QA lifecycle.
- Continuously learn and develop new skills to enhance testing effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a significant focus on test automation.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming for test script development.
- Hands-on experience with testing automation frameworks (e.g., pytest).
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Octane).
- Familiarity with database technologies, specifically MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of software development and testing life cycles, and various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.
- A curious and proactive mindset, eager to learn and contribute.
