No.: 00 DATE : 01.03.2026 Job Title: Senior Foundry Design & Methoding Engineer / Assistant Manager Reports To: Metal Operation Head Job Overview: Pattern Designer for Sandcasting process in New Product development of Automobile Prototype & General engineering etc., Responsibilities and Duties: Review customer 3D models and 2D drawings for sand casting feasibility Provide DFM feedback and design recommendations Develop complete casting methoding with appropriate allowances Design patterns and core boxes suitable for production Perform casting simulations and optimize methoding for first-time-right castings Support trial moulding and first casting trials Analyze defects and drive corrective actions Prepare and maintain methoding and pattern documentation Support audits and ensure design process compliance Good understanding of foundry shop-floor practices Ability to interact with customers and internal teams Qualifications: Edu Qualification:



B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in sand casting foundry engineering Skills: Solid knowledge of sand-casting processes (no-bake) ➢ Hands-on experience in casting methoding ➢ Parting line selection ➢ Gating & runner design ➢ Riser design and yield optimization ➢ Experience in pattern and core box design Working knowledge of casting simulation ➢ MAGMAsoft / ProCAST / Anycasting or equivalent Software Skills: SolidWorks / ZWCAD Prepared By: Approved By: Name: Sriram.D.
