Senior Project Engineer Substation Engineering

Role:

Responsible for engineering and designing AIS & GIS substations for projects and tenders. The role involves preparing drawings, reviewing technical specifications, coordinating with different teams, vendors, and customers, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documents and customer technical specifications.
- Prepare substation layouts, section drawings, grounding/earthing and lightning protection drawings.
- Prepare cable routing, cable tray routing, clearance drawings and BOMs.
- Review technical offers and coordinate with vendors.
- Work on AIS & GIS substation projects.
- Coordinate with Secondary, Civil/Structural, Sourcing, Project and Engineering teams.
- Support equipment selection and technical evaluation of circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers and power transformers.
- Support FAT/SAT, site visits,



erection and commissioning when required.
- Prepare engineering estimates and support tender activities.
- Coordinate with customers and obtain approval for drawings.
- Prepare As-Built documentation.
- Ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery of engineering work.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6 to 15 years of experience in substation engineering.
- Strong experience in AIS & GIS projects.
- Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
- Valuable knowledge of AutoCAD; BIM knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience in substation tendering and project engineering.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
