Job Title: Senior Database Architect

Experience: 8 Years

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST (UK Shift)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Architect with exceptional expertise in relational data modeling, bi-temporal database architecture, and complex hierarchical data structures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust Database of Record (DBoR) that supports historical data tracking, corporate lifecycle management, and efficient point-in-time data retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement advanced bi-temporal data models, tracking both valid time and transaction time.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical relational database architectures.
- Model complex corporate events, including mergers, acquisitions, splits, name changes, and relocations.
- Design recursive hierarchies and time-dependent parent-subsidiary relationships.
- Implement historical tracking of companies, contacts, employees, and organizational structures.
- Collaborate with backend teams to define API architecture and data access strategies.
- Optimize database performance using advanced indexing, constraints, and temporal queries.




- Ensure data integrity, scalability, and accurate historical reconstruction.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- 8 years of experience in database architecture or advanced relational data modeling.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Bi-Temporal Data Modeling.
- Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS platforms.
- Advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Strong understanding of time-interval logic and state-machine modeling.
- Experience designing complex graph relationships, recursive hierarchies, and many-to-many associations.
- Knowledge of API architecture and database access layer design.
- Experience with temporal queries, range types, indexing, and database integrity constraints.

Valuable to Have
- Master Data Management (MDM) experience.
- Knowledge of Reltio MDM.
- Experience with entity resolution, survivorship rules, and golden records.
- Understanding of ORM limitations in temporal database architectures.
